Fantastic UK folk metal, lots of great folk instruments with a very traditional sound. Easily one of the best UK folk metal albums around. Digipak.
Athlos - In The Shroud of Legendary: Hellenic Myths of Gods and Heroes (CD)
Great debut album from Polydeykis (Sacred Blood, Folkearth). Greek themed epic Folk Metal that covers plenty of different styles.

Excellent Folk Metal from Russia. Early Ensiferum meets early Elvenking - highly recommended.

Brilliant new Black Metal band from Ukraine. This debut album is filled with excellent riffs and atmosphere with good production. Definitely a band to watch. Digipak.
Nordland - The True Cult of the Earth (CD)
One of the current greats of UK Black Metal. Long, drawn out songs with great atmosphere.
Northern Oak - Monuments (CD)
Second album from these UK Folk Metal stalwarts. All the usual progressive style that they have become known for with lots of great flute playing.
Northern Oak - Of Roots and Flesh (CD)
Final album from one of the shining stars of the UK Folk Metal scene. Plenty of good English melodies combined with some great harsh vocals. A must for an UK Folk Metal fan. Digipak.
Shieldwall - Lloegyr (CD)
First and only album to date from this British Folk Metal band. Very English sounding with Bathory influence.
Waves of Amphitrite - World Maker (CD)
Symphonic metal at its heart, this USA band is impossible to describe. Think Bal Sagoth but lighter, with some folk influences and a seafaring theme. This album was my own favourite album of its release year (2012) and still remains constantly in my playlist. Cannot recommend enough.
Wilderun - Olden Tales & Deathly Trails (CD)
Debut album from this USA based Folk Metal band. The album mainly consists of their versions of traditional American folk songs and tales. Absolutely brilliant album with fantastic production - extremely recommended for all Folk Metal fans!
Windfaerer - Tenebrosum (CD)
Newest album from this fantastic USA folk/black metal band. A sound extremely difficult to describe - perhaps not a million miles away from bands like Dornenreich but with more black metal. Digipak.
